Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Disconnect the LH rear window switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Using a test lamp, probe cavity 4 of the connector.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Test for an open in the BLU/BLK wire using a J 39200 DMM between cavity 2 of the rear connector to cavity 12 of the front connector.

Does the wire have an open?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the BLK wire from the connector to SP252. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Test for an open in the RED/GRN wire using a J 39200 DMM between cavity 5 of the rear connector to cavity 9 of the front connector.

Does the wire have an open?

--

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the BLU/BLK wire between the rear and front switches. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the open in the RED/GRN wire between the rear and front switches. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the front connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Using a test lamp, probe cavity 2 of the rear connector to ground and activate the front switch to the window DOWN position.
  4. Using a test lamp, probe cavity 5 of the rear connector to ground and activate the front switch to the window UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

  1. Reconnect the rear connector.
  2. Using a test lamp, backprobe cavity 1 of the rear connector to ground and activate the rear switch to the DOWN position.
  3. Using a test lamp, backprobe cavity 3 of the rear connector to ground and activate the rear switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

Replace the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the power window motor connector
  2. Test the GRN wire using a J 39200 DMM between the switch connector cavity 1 and the motor connector cavity 2 for an open.

Does the wire have an open?

--

Go to Step 14

Replace the LH rear window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Test for an open in the YEL wire using a J 39200 DMM between the switch connector cavity 3 and the motor connector cavity 1.

Does the wire have an open?

--

Go to Step 16

Repair the open in the GRN wire between the switch and the motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the motor. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
