Were you sent here from the Power Door Lock System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the suspected door lock actuator connector.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the voltage of the BLU wire at the suspect door lock actuator connector terminal to ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value when the door lock switch is in the LOCK position?

B+

Go to Step 3

Is the suspected faulty actuator the LH front door actuator?

Repair the open in the BLU wire between the suspected door lock actuator connector and the SP253. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the replacement or repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Using a DMM, measure the voltage of the RED wire at the suspect door lock actuator connector terminal to ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value when the door lock switch is in the UNLOCK position?

B+

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the suspected door lock actuator. Refer to Power Door Lock Actuator Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the open in the RED wire between the suspected door lock actuator connector and SP253. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the replacement or repair complete?

Test the RED wire for an open.

Does the RED wire have an open in it?

Go to Step 10

Does the key in ignition chime sound?

Go to Chime Always On

Repair the open in the RED wire. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
