Did you review the following description and operations and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Symptoms - Engine Electrical

Start the engine.

Does the battery charge indicator remain illuminated after the five second bulb check?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

1. Disconnect the generator connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Does the charge indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Charging System Test

Test the charge indicator ground circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
