Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 327880  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 nuts (4, 6) and the front suspension brace (5).
  4. Remove the following components:
  5. • The bolt (1)
    • The nut (2)
    • The stud (3)
    • The insulator clamp

  6. Remove the insulator (3) from the stabilizer shaft (4).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the insulator (3) to the stabilizer shaft (4).
  2. Install the clamp (2) to the insulator.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Secure the clamp to the vehicle with the nut (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  6. Install the stud (3).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the stud to 147 N·m (109 lb ft).

  8. Install the bolt (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 225 N·m (167 lb ft).

  10. Install the front suspension brace (5). Secure the brace to the studs with the 2 nuts (4, 6).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 69 N·m (51 lb ft).

  12. Lower the vehicle.
