Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the 2 bolts from the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.

  3. Object Number: 238023  Size: SH
  4. Remove the insulator clamp (2) from the insulator.
  5. Remove the insulator from the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the insulator to the stabilizer shaft.
  2. Important: The weight of the vehicle must be on the tires and wheels before tightening the bolts.

  3. Install the insulator clamp (2). Secure the clamp to the vehicle with the 2 bolts. DO NOT tighten the bolts.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Raise the vehicle on a drive-on lift or an alignment rack. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  6. Push down on the rear bumper 3 times in order to stabilize the suspension.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Tighten the bolts that retain the insulator clamp to the vehicle.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
