Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 327493  Size: SH

    Notice: Brake fluid will damage electrical connections and painted surfaces. Use shop cloths, suitable containers, and fender covers to prevent brake fluid from contacting these areas. Always re-seal and wipe off brake fluid containers to prevent spills.

  1. Clean the outside of the brake fluid reservoir.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) for the fluid level switch.
  3. Clean the cap for the reservoir.
  4. Remove the cap for the reservoir.
  5. Siphon the brake fluid from the reservoir.
  6. Remove the set screw for the reservoir.
  7. Remove the reservoir and the grommets from the master cylinder.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 327493  Size: SH
  1. Install the new grommets into the master cylinder (3).
  2. Lubricate the grommets using new, clean brake fluid. Ensure that the grommets are seated properly.
  3. Install the reservoir to the master cylinder .
  4. Install the set screw for the reservoir.
  5. Connect the electrical connector (2) for the fluid level switch.
  6. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid, GM P/N 12377967, or the equivalent DOT 3 brake fluid, until the fluid reaches the MAX mark.
  7. Install the cap to the reservoir.
  8. Inspect for fluid leakage.
  9. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
