Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the following components:
  2. • The 2 screws
    • The 2 bolts
    • The rear center console
  3. Remove the 2 park brake lever bolts.

  4. Object Number: 428450  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the park brake switch electrical connector (4).
  6. Remove 1 screw and the park brake switch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 428450  Size: SH
  1. Install the park brake switch to the vehicle. Secure the switch using the 1 screw.
  2. Connect the park brake switch electrical connector (4).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 2 park brake lever bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake lever bolts to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  6. Install the following components:
  7. • The rear center console
    • The 2 bolts
    • The 2 screws
