Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 240015  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (1).
  3. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  5. • The mounting bolt (1)
    • The rear seat center belt retractor (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 240015  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat center belt retractor (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the mounting bolt (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor mounting bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Install the rear seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
