Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 743464  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front floor rear console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Position the front seat (1) in a forward position in order to gain access to the seat belt switch electrical connector (2), on the left front buckle only.
  3. Disconnect the seat belt switch electrical connector (2), on the left front buckle only.

  4. Object Number: 241543  Size: SH
  5. Remove the following components from the front seat:
  6. • The screw
    • The inner adjuster finish cover (2)
    • The bolt
    • The seat belt buckle (1)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 241543  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the seat belt buckle (1) to the front seat. Secure the buckle with the bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt buckle bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  3. Install the inner adjuster finish cover (2) to the front seat. Secure the cover with the screw.

  4. Object Number: 743464  Size: SH
  5. Connect the seat belt switch electrical connector (2), on the left front buckle only.
  6. Install the front floor rear console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Return the front seat (1) to the upright position, if the left front buckle was removed.
