Hose Replacement Hose Connector to Washer Nozzle

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 245168  Size: SH
  1. Remove the 2 lower plastic retainers that retain the hood insulator (4).
  2. Fold back the bottom of the hood insulator (4) in order to gain access to the windshield washer nozzle hose (1).
  3. Disconnect the washer hose (1) from the following components:
  4. • The washer nozzle (2)
    • The hose connector
  5. Position the hose connector higher than washer solvent container, if necessary in order to prevent the washer fluid from being lost.
  6. Remove the washer hose (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the washer hose (1) to the vehicle and connect the hose to the following components:
  2. • The hose connector
    • The washer nozzle (2)
  3. Reposition the hood insulator (4) back to its original position. Secure the insulator with the 2 plastic retainers.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Disconnect the washer hose from the Y-shaped hose connector.
  3. Disconnect the washer hose from the hose connector.
  4. Perform one of the following actions in order to prevent the washer fluid from being lost:
  5. • Plug the open of the hose connector
    • Position the hose connector higher than washer solvent container
    • Drain the washer solvent
  6. Remove the washer hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the washer hose to the vehicle and connect to the hose connector.
  2. Connect the washer hose to the Y-shaped hose connector.
  3. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

  4. Object Number: 417486  Size: SH
  5. Fill the washer solvent container (1) with washer solvent, as necessary.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 417486  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Disconnect the washer hose from the hose connector.
  3. Remove the bolt (2) that retains the washer solvent container (1).
  4. Position the solvent container (1) aside in order to gain access to the washer pump.

  6. Drain the washer solvent as necessary or position the washer solvent container in order to prevent the washer fluid from being lost.
  7. Disconnect the washer hose (3) from the washer pump (2).
  8. Unroute the washer hose (3) from the retainers and remove from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the washer hose (3) to the vehicle and route the hose while securing to the retainers.
  2. Connect the washer hose (3) to the washer pump (2).

  3. Object Number: 417486  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the washer solvent container (1) to the vehicle. Secure the container with 1 bolt (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the washer solvent container bolt to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).

  6. Connect the washer hose to the hose connector.
  7. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  8. Fill the washer solvent container (1) with washer solvent, as necessary.
