Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 241064  Size: SH
  1. Remove the right body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the 2 lower bolts which secure the I/P compartment.
  3. Open the instrument panel compartment door.
  4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  5. • The 3 upper screws (1)
    • The instrument panel compartment (2)

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the instrument panel compartment (2) to the instrument panel. Secure the compartment with the upper 3 screws (1).
  2. Close the instrument panel compartment door.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 2 I/P compartment lower retaining bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the I/P compartment lower retaining bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Install the right body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
