The front bumper fascia and rear bumper fascia are made of urethane. The urethane bumpers withstand minor impact and the bumpers return to their original shape.

Refer to Plastic Panel Information and Repair for fascia repair and/or Paint/Coatings for fascia refinishing. Use care around theft deterrent labels.

Energy Absorbing (Bumpers)

The front and the rear bumpers contain energy absorbers which are made of a polystyrene material. The energy absorbers are positioned between the bumper impact bar and the bumper fascia. The vehicle bumpers are designed to withstand a collision into a fixed barrier at 8 km/h (5 mph) with minimal damage. After absorbing the energy of a minor collision, these bumper system restore themselves to their original position.
