Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 242315 Size: SH
  1. Remove the following along the top of the front bumper fascia:
    2. • The 2 bolts (1)
    • The plastic retainer (2)
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle at a desired height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    3. Object Number: 431898 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the front wheelhouse panel liners (1) on both sides of the vehicle in order to gain access to the front bumper fascia to fender bolts and the front bumper fascia brace upper bolts.

    4. Object Number: 242295 Size: SH
  4. Remove the front bumper fascia to fender bolt (1) from each side of the fascia (2).

    5. Object Number: 431931 Size: SH
  5. Remove the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt (1) from each side of the fascia (2).
  6. Remove the 2 plastic retainers from the bottom of the front bumper fascia.

    7. Object Number: 242299 Size: SH
  7. Pull the front bumper fascia (2) forward and remove the fascia from the vehicle.

    8. Object Number: 431932 Size: SH
  8. Remove the following components from the front bumper fascia:
    9. • The 2 plastic retainers (2)
    • The front bumper fascia braces (1)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 431932 Size: SH
  1. Install the front bumper fascia braces (1) to the fascia. Secure each brace with 1 plastic retainer (2).

    2. Object Number: 242299 Size: SH
  2. Install the front bumper fascia (2) to the vehicle.

    3. Object Number: 431931 Size: SH
  3. Install the 2 plastic retainers to the bottom of the front bumper fascia.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt (1) to each side of the front bumper fascia (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper fascia brace upper bolts to 5 N·m (43 lb in).

  5. Install the front bumper fascia to fender bolt (1) to each side of the fascia (2).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper fascia to fender bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Reposition and secure the front wheelhouse panel liners (1).

    7. Object Number: 242315 Size: SH
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the 2 bolts (1) and the plastic retainer (2) along the top of the front bumper fascia.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the upper front fascia bolts to 5 N·m (43 lb in).
