Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 431898  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle at a desired height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Loosen the front wheelhouse panel liner (1) in order to gain access to the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt and the lower plastic retainer.

  3. Object Number: 431931  Size: SH
  4. Remove the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt (1).

  5. Object Number: 431932  Size: SH
  6. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  7. 4.1. The front bumper fascia brace lower plastic retainer (2)
    4.2. The front bumper fascia brace (1)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 431932  Size: SH
  1. Install the front bumper fascia brace (1) to the fascia. Secure the brace with the lower plastic retainer (2).

  2. Object Number: 431931  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper fascia brace upper bolt to 5 N·m (43 lb in).

  5. Reposition and secure the front wheelhouse panel liner (1).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
