Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 431893  Size: SH
  1. Remove the hood secondary catch and primary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  2. Remove the input air temperature sensor (2) connector from the center support (1).

  3. Object Number: 239366  Size: SH
  4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  5. • The 2 bolts
    • The center support (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 239366  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the center support (2) to the vehicle. Secure the support with the 2 bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the center support bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the input air temperature sensor (2) connector to the center support (1).
  4. Install the hood secondary catch and primary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
