Did you review the Power Door Locks Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms - Doors

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Operate the window switches to the UP and DOWN positions.

Do the windows operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Are the Power Locks working properly?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Disconnect the LH window/door lock switch connector.
  3. Using a test lamp, probe the connector cavity 10 to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Repair the voltage supply circuit of the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in the ground circuit of the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Operate the system to verify the repair.
