Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 242365 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front door rear window guide. Refer to Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door .
  2. Remove the inside handle rod (4) from the door lock and the vehicle.
  3. Unscrew the lock rod knob from the front door locking rod (2).
  4. Remove the lock rod (3) from the outside door handle.
  5. Remove the lock rod (1) from the door lock cylinder.
  6. Disconnect the power door lock actuator electrical connector (5), if equipped.

  7. Remove the following components from the door (3):
    8. • The 3 screws (4)
    • The bolt (2) if equipped with power door locks
    • The door lock (1) with the following rods attached:
       - The outside handle lock rod
       - The door lock cylinder lock rod
       - The door locking rod
  8. Remove the 3 lock rods from the door lock, if necessary.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the following lock rods to the door lock, if removed:
    2. • The outside handle
    • The lock cylinder
    • The door locking rod
  2. Install the door lock (1) to the door (3). Secure the door lock with the following fasteners:
    3. • The 3 screws (4)
    • The bolt (2) if equipped with power door locks.

  3. Connect the power door lock actuator electrical connector (5), if equipped.
  4. Install the lock rod (1) to the lock cylinder.
  5. Install the lock rod (3) to the outside door handle.
  6. Install the knob to the door locking rod (2).
  7. Install the inside handle rod (4) to the door lock.
  8. Install the front door rear window guide. Refer to Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door .
