Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 241554  Size: SH
  1. Fold the rear seat back cushion to the down position.
  2. Remove the 2 plastic carpet retainers which secure the back of the seat back cushion cover to the rear compartment area.
  3. Remove the outer pivot support bolt (2) from the rear seat back cushion (1).

  4. Object Number: 241555  Size: SH
  5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  6. • The center pivot support bolt (2)
    • The rear seat back cushion (1)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 241555  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat back cushion (1) to the vehicle. Secure the rear seat back cushion with the center pivot support bolt (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the center pivot support bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  3. Install the outer pivot support bolt (2) to the rear seat back cushion (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the outer pivot support bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  5. Install the 2 plastic carpet retainers which secure the back of the seat back cushion cover to the rear compartment area.
  6. Return the seat back to the upright position.
