DURING ROUTINE ABS SYSTEM CHECKS, DTCS 35, 36 AND 37 MAY BE FOUND STORED, BUT NO CUSTOMER COMMENT, ABS LIGHT, OR BRAKE PERFORMANCE PROBLEM IS REPORTED. WHEN A SPECIFIC ROOT CAUSE CANNOT BE IDENTIFIED, VCM/PCM REPLACEMENT IS OFTEN PERFORMED.
IN SOME CASES, THESE DTCS CAN BE STORED IF THE IGNITION SWITCH IS SLOWLY TURNED FROM THE RUN TO OFF POSITION. THIS CONDITION IS NOT LIMITED TO, BUT IS MORE OFTEN SEEN ON MANUAL TRANSMISSION EQUIPPED MODELS.
ASK THE OWNER IF THIS PRACTICE OF SLOWLY TURNING OFF THE IGNITION IS A POSSIBILITY.
TRUCKS WITH DTCS 36 AND 37 STORED, MAY BE MOVING AT LOW SPEED WHEN THE KEY IS SLOWLY TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION.
CLEAR THE DTC(S). NO PART REPLACEMENT IS NECESSARY.
