Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet from the air cleaner.
  2. Remove the spark plug wires and ICM electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the 3 bolts supporting the ICM assembly plate (2).
  4. Remove the ICM assembly from the engine.
  5. Remove the ignition coils from the module (1).

  6. Object Number: 204040  Size: SH
  7. Remove the module from the assembly plate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the module to the assembly plate.
  2. Install the ignition coils.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the ICM assembly onto the engine block.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the ICM assembly bolts (2) to 25 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the spark plug wires and ICM electrical connectors.
  7. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner.
