Removal Procedure
- Remove the compact disc magazine if one is inserted in the compact
disc changer by pressing the EJECT button.
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Remove the
negative battery cable.
- Remove the floor console from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the compact disc
changer cover retaining bolts.
- Remove the compact disc changer cover from the console.
- Remove the console wiring
harness connector from the compact disc changer.
- Remove the compact disc changer retaining bolts.
- Remove the compact disc changer.
Slide the compact disc changer up and back toward the center of the
console.
Installation Procedure
- Install the compact disc
changer.
Slide the compact disc changer into place between the retaining tabs.
- Install the compact disc changer retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the console wiring harness connector to the compact disc
changer.
- Install the compact disc
changer cover to the console.
- Install the compact disc changer cover retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the floor console to the vehicle. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Install the negative battery cable.
