Removal Procedure
- Remove the radiator grille. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the front bumper from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
.
- Remove the bolts that
retain the front bumper end cap to the deflector.
- Remove the license plate bracket bolts, if equipped.
- Remove the license plate bracket, if equipped.
- Remove the deflector bolts.
- Remove the deflector from the vehicle.
- Remove the fog lamps from the deflector, if equipped. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamps
to the deflector, if equipped. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Install the deflector to the vehicle.
- Install the license plate bracket, if equipped.
- Install the license plate bracket bolts, if equipped.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts
that retain the deflector to the front bumper.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
- Install the bolts that retain the front bumper end cap to the
deflector.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
- Install the front bumper to the vehicle. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
.
- Install the radiator grille. Refer to
Grille Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
