Did you perform the Power Seats System Check?

Go to Power Seats System Check

1. Ensure that the motor connector is connected.
2. Using a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM), backprobe the seat front height motor connector terminal A of CKT 286 (DK GRN) to ground.
3. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the FRONT UP position.

Is voltage present?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

1. Ensure that the motor connector remains connected.
2. Using the J 39200 DMM, backprobe the seat front height motor connector terminal B of CKT 287 (DK BLU) to ground.
3. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the FRONT DOWN position.

Is voltage present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Replace the seat front height motor.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Seats System Check

--

1. Access the driver side power seat adjuster switch.
2. Using the J 39200 DMM, backprobe the terminal connected to CKT 286 (GRY) to ground.
3. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the FRONT UP position.

Is voltage present?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 9

1. Access the driver side seat adjuster switch.
2. Using the J 39200 DMM, backprobe the terminal connected to CKT 287 (WHT) to ground.
3. Operate the power seat adjuster switch to the FRONT DOWN position.

Is voltage present?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 286 between the power seat adjuster switch and the seat front height motor.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Seats System Check

--

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 287 between the power seat adjuster switch and the seat front height motor.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Seats System Check

--

Replace the power seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
