J 37088-A Fuel Line Disconnect
Tool Set
Removal Procedure
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
- Raise
the vehicle.
- Remove the fuel composition sensor (FCS) attachment nut (1).
- Remove the 1 FCS attachment bolt. (5)
- Remove the FCS from the frame rail (3).
- Using the J 37088-1A and J 37088-2A, disconnect the FCS inlet
and outlet pipes from the FCS.
- Disconnect the FCS electrical connector. (4).
- Remove the FCS from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the FCS to the bracket.
- Connect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes (6) to the FCS (1).
- Connect the FCS electrical connector (4).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the attaching nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).
- Install the 1 FCS attachment bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for fuel leaks.
