    Object Number: 3795  Size: SH
  1. Apply a 5 mm (0.193 in) diameter bead of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan side sealing flanges.

  2. Object Number: 3796  Size: SH
  3. Apply GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan surface that contacts the engine front cover.

  4. Object Number: 3797  Size: SH
  5. Apply a small amount of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the new oil pan rear seal ears prior to installing the oil pan rear seal into the bearing cap groove.
  6. Install the new oil pan rear seal.

  7. Object Number: 3793  Size: SH
  8. Install the oil pan.

  9. Object Number: 3792  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  10. Install the oil pan nuts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Install the oil pan bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
