Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the battery negative cable.
- Remove instrument panel trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connections as needed.
- Release the locking tabs from the inside of the instrument panel
trim plate in order to remove the switch.
- Remove the switch from the trim plate.
Installation Procedure
- Install the switch to
the instrument panel trim plate with the locking tabs properly seated.
- Connect the electrical connections as needed.
- Install the instrument panel trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
