Is the MIR/LKS fuse in the IP fuse block open?

  1. Disconnect the MIR/LKS fuse.
  2. Disconnect the lock cylinder switch.
  3. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) between the lock cylinder switch connector terminal D and ground.

Is a short or low resistance present?

--

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair a short to ground in CKT 840.

Is the repair complete?

--

  1. Lock the left front door.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the lock cylinder switch connector terminal C and ground.

Is a short or low resistance present?

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair a short to ground in CKT 1221 (WHT/BLK).

Is the repair complete?

  1. Lock the left front door.
  2. Disconnect the lift window release actuator.
  3. Connect a J 39200 DMM between ground and the lift window release actuator connector terminal A.

Is a short or low resistance present?

--

Go to Step 8

Locate and repair a short to ground in CKT 56 (BLK/WHT).

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the lift glass relay from the BBEC.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the lift glass relay connector terminal 3 and terminal 1 to ground.

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 10

Replace the BBEC.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the liftglass relay.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the lift window release actuator.
  2. Unlock the left front door.
  3. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the lift window release actuator connector terminal A and ground.
  4. Press and hold the lock cylinder switch.

Is voltage present?

Battery Voltage

  1. Ensure that the left front door remains unlocked.
  2. Ensure that the J 39200 DMM remains connected between the lift window release actuator connector terminal A and ground.
  3. Press and hold the lift window release switch on the IP.

Locate and repair an open in CKT 56 (BLK/WHT).

  1. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the lift window release actuator connector terminal A and terminal B.
  2. Press and hold the lock cylinder switch.

Is voltage present?
