Condition
Some owners may comment on a Service Engine Soon (SES) light being illuminated. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC P0420 has been set.
Cause
Due to engine temperature, over time the flex joint in the front pipe may break down and cause the catalytic converter to fail.
Correction
In addition to replacing the catalytic converter (refer to SI document #182887), be sure to replace the front pipe (refer to SI document #376185).
