Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2003 🢒 SSR 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Doors 🢒 Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the window.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the door window. Refer to Door Window Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the door window regulator motor.
  6. Remove the 4 bolts from the door window regulator motor.

    7. Important: Do not allow the cable gear to come out of the housing. A failure will result with the cable coming off the spool.

  7. Separate the door window regulator motor from the cable housing by wiggling the door window regulator motor.

    8. Observe the orientation of the door window regulator motor.

  8. Remove the door window regulator motor from the door regulator assembly.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the door window regulator motor to the cable housing by wiggling it into place.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 4 bolts (1) to the door window regulator motor.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Install the door window. Refer to Door Window Replacement .
  4. Connect the wiring harness to the door window regulator motor.
  5. Connect the wire connector to the switch to inspect the operation of the window.

    6. After inspection disconnect the wiring harness and continue the installation.

  6. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  7. Install the side front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    8. Important: The window cycle learn procedure must be performed or the folding top will not operate correctly.

  8. Perform the window cycle learn procedure. Refer to Power Window Reinitialization .
