Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment lid.
- Lower the endgate.
- Pull outward to remove the endgate weatherstrip from the vehicle.
- Pull downward to remove the endgate weatherstrip from the rear compartment weatherstrip.
- Use Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naptha in order to remove all traces of adhesive residue from the painted surfaces.
Installation Procedure
- Heat the weatherstrip to 27-38°C (80-100°F) for 5 minutes prior to installation.
- Push upward to engage the endgate weatherstrip with the rear compartment weatherstrip.
- Ensure to fully seat the endgate weatherstrip to the endgate.
- Close the endgate.
- Close the rear compartment lid.
