4L60E Automatic Transmission Buzz Noise with Transmission Fluid Overfill Condition - kw oil

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

03 - 04 Chevrolet SSRs produced prior to March, 9 2004 may have an overfilled transmission oil level from the final assembly plant. The transmission overfill condition may produce a buzz noise at idle. The fluid may have been overfilled by approximately 28 ounces.

The transmission fluid level should be checked per SI document number 862394, transmission fluid checking procedure and corrected as required.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
