Molding Rubs Painted Surface of Hard Top (Replace Molding)

This bulletin is being revised to correct the model year information. The bulletin should apply ONLY to 2003 model year vehicles. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 04-08-67-001 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

Some customers may comment that the paint has a rub mark on the folding top. Refer to the Illustration above.

The interior molding on the hard top may be rubbing the top when it is cycled.

1. Lower the top to the full down position.



2. Remove the two molding retainers from the molding shown in the illustration above.
3. Install the new molding with the bottom plastic push in retainer. Discard the second plastic push in retainer and the old molding.



4. Install the upper retaining clip on the molding just below the hole in the metal retainer. Refer to the arrow in the illustration.
