When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Installing a carpet bedliner into a SSR that was originally equipped with the base plastic bedliner - The uplevel bedliner also includes a cargo lamp which there is no wire harness for on SSRs originally equipped with the base bedliner. There are 2 different wire harnesses, one is for the base bedliner and one for the uplevel bedliner. The base wire harness plugs into C404 and only includes circuits for the cargo cover present switch. The wire harness for the uplevel bedliner also plugs into C404 and includes circuits for both the cargo cover present switch and circuits for the cargo lamp as well as the connectors.
Order harness part number 15115930. Disconnect the base harness at C404 and disconnect cargo cover present switch connector. Remove the original wire harness from the vehicle. Install the new wire harness and then connect the harness at C404, at the cargo present switch, and at the cargo lamp circuit board connector.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
