When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

Customer may comment that the exhaust tip may stick out further on one side on the other.

Recommendation/Instructions:

  1. Loosen both fore and aft bolts connecting the center fascia brace to the frame and fascia respectively.
  2. Apply pressure to fascia (which in this state is highly flexible) on the side where the fascia appears to be rearward and maintain this pressure until the completion of the next step.
  3. Re-tighten both bolts to the support

Note: Do not replace the exhaust tip for this concern. All exhaust components and made to a specific measurement and when rear bumper cover is removed, tips are of equal length in relation to the chassis.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
