When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

The tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) contacts the cargo cover or the tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) will not open evenly side to side.

After VIN break 3B101372, updated tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) hinges were implemented into production. The updated tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) hinges have a geometry change and are made of hardened steel. If a SSR was built before the VIN break point, the dealer needs to either replace the hinges or perform a couple of diagnostic steps before replacing the hinges based on the concern.

Concern #1

Tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) contacts the cargo cover. Replace the tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) hinges.

Concern #2

The tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) opens unevenly side to side. Inspect the hydraulic hoses for proper routing and for damage. Also check the hydraulic fluid in the top pump reservoir assembly. If the hoses and fluid level are okay, replace the tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) hinges.

When ordering the tonneau cover (stowage compartment lid) hinges, you will receive the updated hinges. Note: SI calls this the stowage compartment lid and the Tech 2 calls this the tonneau cover
