The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms in the PI.

There is a noticeable change in the radio volume when the roof is fully opened or closed. When the roof is opened and the chime sounds to indicate the roof is fully opened, the radio volume will increase. When the retractable roof switch is pressed to close the roof, the radio volume will decrease. The radio will have a increase in volume any time the roof is in the fully opened position. This is not affected by the Auto Volume ON or OFF feature.

No repairs should be made. This is the normal operation of the radio.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
