The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
The owner's manual states that up to 4 key fobs can be programmed for this vehicle. After programming up to 4 key fobs, it has been found that the 3rd and 4th key fobs programmed will not open the rear cargo cover. The 3rd and 4th key fobs programmed will lock and unlock the doors and the panic button will still function correctly.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is normal operation of the remote keyless entry system. The 3rd and 4th key fobs programmed will not open the rear cargo cover. Do not make any repair attempts to repair this concern.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
