The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When programming a BCM, the Tech 2 will get to about 98% then displays programming failed and displays the following error codes:
| • | Utility 9394236 software problem |
| • | Line 16 operation B4 error code 8B |
There maybe additional error codes listed. There may also be a complaint of no communications with the BCM, after the programming fails.
Recommendation/Instructions:
It will be necessary to contact Techline 800-828-6860 and request a VCI number to correct this concern. It may be necessary to replace the BCM again when this concern happens.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
