Circuit Description

The HVAC control module will run a self diagnostic test at ignition ON. This test ensure the modules ability to operate. No external circuits are involved.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • Source voltage is 8.7-16.5 volts.
    • The HVAC control module receives an ignition 3 voltage input.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The HVAC control module detects an internal system failure.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The HVAC control module refuse all additional inputs.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing must be performed.

Did you perform the HVAC Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .
  2. Turn OFF the ignition.
  3. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Displaying

Did DTC 010 reset?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Important: Perform the calibration procedure for the HVAC control module.

Replace the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 4

Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.

Does the DTC reset?

Go to Step 2
