Removal Procedure
- Cycle the folding top open.
- Stop the cycle before the folding top stowage compartment lid starts to close.
- Place a protective covering on the rear upper garnish molding.
- Remove the body rear compartment lid fasteners.
- Unlatch the body rear compartment lid latches.
- Remove the body rear compartment lid from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the vehicle battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Release the control module clips.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the control module from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the folding top control module into the vehicle.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the control module.
- Push down firmly on the control module to seat the folding top control module clip into the body rear compartment.
- Install the body rear compartment lid.
- Install the body rear compartment lid fasteners.
- Latch the body rear compartment lid latches.
- Remove the protective coverings from the vehicle.
- Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Perform the window cycle learn procedure. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
- Connect the Tech-2 and reset any diagnostic codes that may be present.
- Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
- Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the body rear compartment lid fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
Important: The window cycle learn procedure must be performed or the folding top will not operate correctly.
