Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1480442 Size: SH
  1. Drain a gallon of coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the throttle body (1). Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 6.0L.
  3. Remove the coolant air bleed hose (2). Refer to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement .
  4. Remove the retaining bolts (3) for the coolant air bleed pipe (4).
  5. Remove the coolant air bleed pipe (4) and the gaskets (5) from the cylinders head.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1480442 Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant air bleed pipe (4) and gaskets (5) to the cylinder heads.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the coolant air bleed pipe retaining bolts (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the throttle body (1). Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 6.0L.
  4. Install the coolant air bleed hose (2). Refer to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement .
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
