Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the push rod from the clutch pedal.
  2. Using the appropriate tool, remove the fluid from the reservoir.
  3. Remove the reservoir from the mounting bracket.
  4. Remove the line clip from the master cylinder.
  5. Remove line from the master cylinder to the clutch concentric actuator cylinder.
  6. Remove the mounting nuts for the master cylinder.
  7. Remove the master cylinder assembly.

Installation Procedure.

  1. Position the master cylinder assembly on the bulkhead.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the master cylinder assembly mounting nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts to 36 N·m (27 lb ft).

  5. Install the reservoir on the mounting bracket.
  6. Reposition the electrical harness at the master cylinder.
  7. Install the line from the clutch concentric actuator to the master cylinder.
  8. Install the line clip in the line from the master cylinder to the clutch concentric actuator cylinder.
  9. Install the pushrod from the brake pedal to the master cylinder.
  10. Fill the master cylinder with fluid. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations in General Information.
  11. Bleed the hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
