🢒 Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement
Removal Procedure
Raise the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
Position the drain pan as needed.
Disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to
Catalytic Converter Replacement
in Engine Exhaust.
Remove the transmission support. Refer to
Transmission Support Replacement
in Frame and Underbody.
Lower the transmission to gain access for pipe removal.
Disconnect the cooler lines from the retainer (2) located on the right side of the engine.
Disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the transmission. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Remove the oil cooler lines from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Connect the transmission cooler lines to the vehicle.
Connect the transmission cooler lines to the transmission. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Connect the cooler lines to the retainer (2), located on the right side of the engine.
Install the transmission support. Refer to
Transmission Support Replacement
in Frame and Underbody.
Install the catalytic converter. Refer to
Catalytic Converter Replacement
in Engine Exhaust.
Connect the transmission cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection
.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Lower the vehicle.
Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON® III transmission fluid. Refer to
Fluid Capacity Specifications
.
