The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Unable to perform a 30 minute theft deterrent relearn.

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position (DO NOT CRANK THE ENGINE). The security light will flash a couple times then stay on steady.
2. Observe the SECURITY telltale. After approximately 10 minutes, the telltale will turn OFF.
3. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
