This bulletin is being issued to revise the rear axle fluid capacity and the fluid level checking specifications in the Rear Axle sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page. This information is also revises what was published in the Owner Manual.

2005 Model Year

Differential Fluid - Rear
With Automatic Transmission (8.6 Inch Axle)	2.0 L The correct fluid level is 0-10 mm below the fill plug opening.	2.1 qts The correct fluid level is 0-0.4 in below the fill plug opening.
Early Build With Manual Transmission (9.5 LD Axle -- Fill Plug in Pinion Nose)	2.6 L The correct fluid level is 0-10 mm below the fill plug opening in the housing.	2.7 qts The correct fluid level is 0-0.4 in below the fill plug opening in the housing.
Late Build With Manual Transmission (9.5 LD Axle -- Fill Plug in Cover Pan)	2.6 L* The correct fluid level is 15-40 mm below the fill plug opening in the cover.	2.7 qts* The correct fluid level is 0.6-1.6 in below the fill plug opening in the cover.
* With a complete drain/refill, add 163 ml (5.5 oz) of limited slip axle lubricant additive to the axle in addition to the axle lubricant.
