Removal Procedure

    Important: In order to minimize door realignment, do not remove both hinges at the same time. Replace the broken door hinge first.

  1. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  2. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.

  4. Object Number: 63821  Size: SH
  5. Mark the location of the door hinge on the door and on the hinge pillar.
  6. Support the door.

  7. Object Number: 63776  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts securing the door hinge to the hinge pillar.

  9. Object Number: 63779  Size: SH
  10. Remove the bolts securing the door hinge to the door.
  11. Remove the door hinge.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 63779  Size: SH
  1. Position the door hinge to the marks on the door.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts attaching the door hinge to the door.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge to door bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Position the door hinge to the marks on the door pillar.
  6. Install the bolts attaching the door hinge to the hinge pillar.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge to hinge pillar bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Remove the door support and inspect the alignment of the door, realign if required. Refer to Door Adjustment .
  9. Install the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.
  10. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  11. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
