Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2006 🢒 SSR 🢒 Suspension 🢒 Tires and Wheels 🢒 Front Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling and to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the side front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement and to Front Upper Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.

  4. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1325786 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the regulator motor electrical connector.

    6. Object Number: 624661 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the door latch assembly electrical connector.

    7. Object Number: 1326320 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the SIR side impact sensor.
  8. Remove the hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    9. Object Number: 1326322 Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the body harness inline electrical connectors by releasing the connector retaining tab located on the body side of the connectors.
  10. Remove the rubber grommet from the door access opening.

    11. Object Number: 1326323 Size: SH
  11. Note the routing of the front door wiring harness and release the wire harness attachments from the door .
  12. Pass the front door wiring harness electrical connector through the access opening and remove the front door wiring harness from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1326323 Size: SH
  1. Pass the front door wiring harness electrical connector through the access opening and position the front door wiring harness to the door as previously noted.
  2. Ensure that the front door wiring harness retainers are fully seated.

    3. Object Number: 1326322 Size: SH
  3. Attach the rubber grommet to the door access opening. Ensure that the grommet is fully seated.
  4. Connect the body harness inline electrical connector to the door wire harness electrical connector. Ensure that the retaining tab is fully seated.
  5. Install the hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Connect the electrical connector to the SIR side impact sensor.

    7. Object Number: 624661 Size: SH
  7. Connect the door latch assembly electrical connector.

    8. Object Number: 1325786 Size: SH
  8. Connect the regulator motor electrical connector.

    9. Object Number: 1275116 Size: SH
  9. Install the front door water deflector.
  10. Install the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement and to Front Upper Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  11. Install the side front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling and to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.

    13. Important: The window cycle learn procedure must be performed or the folding top will not operate correctly.

  13. Perform the window cycle learn procedure. Refer to Power Window Reinitialization .
