Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2006 🢒 SSR 🢒 Body 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Latch Plate Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 1273187 Size: SH
  2. Remove the lock cylinder latch plate cover. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Latch Plate Cover Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    4. Object Number: 1273222 Size: SH
  4. Release the tension on the latch cables. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Release Cable Adjustment .

    5. Object Number: 1273186 Size: SH
  5. Remove the latch release cables (1, 2) from the lock cylinder latch plate assembly.
  6. Remove the latch release handle cable (3) from the lock cylinder latch plate assembly.
  7. Remove the lock cylinder latch plate fasteners.
  8. Remove the lock cylinder latch plate from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the lock cylinder latch plate assembly to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the lock cylinder latch plate fasteners.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  3. Install the latch release handle cable (3) to the lock cylinder latch plate assembly.
  4. Install the latch release cables (1, 2) to the lock cylinder latch plate assembly.
  5. Set the latch cable adjustment. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Release Cable Adjustment .
  6. Connect the electrical connectors.
  7. Install the lock cylinder latch plate cover. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Latch Plate Cover Replacement .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
