Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Lower the endgate.
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid endgate liner. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear compartment endgate access panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Access Panel Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1331100 Size: SH
  5. Remove the bell crank fasteners.

    6. Object Number: 1331102 Size: SH
  6. Remove the endgate handle fasteners.

    7. Object Number: 1331107 Size: SH
  7. Remove the endgate handle from the rear compartment endgate access panel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1331107 Size: SH
  1. Install the endgate handle into the rear compartment endgate access panel.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1331102 Size: SH
  2. Install the endgate handle fasteners.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 7 N·m (61 lb in).


    Object Number: 1331101 Size: SH
  3. Install the bell crank.

    4. Object Number: 1331100 Size: SH
  4. Install the bell crank fastener.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the rear compartment endgate access panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Access Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the rear compartment endgate liner. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement
  7. Close the endgate.
  8. Close the rear compartment lid.
