Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Lower the endgate.
  3. Support the endgate.

    4. Object Number: 1331108 Size: SH
  4. While supporting the endgate, remove the endgate support cable fastener from the body.

    5. Object Number: 1331106 Size: SH
  5. While supporting the endgate, remove the endgate support cable fastener from the endgate.

    6. Object Number: 1331110 Size: SH
  6. Remove the endgate support cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1331110 Size: SH
  1. Install the endgate support cable onto the endgate.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1331106 Size: SH
  2. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the endgate.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the endgate striker fasteners to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1331108 Size: SH
  3. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the body.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the endgate support cable fastener to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Close the rear compartment lid.
  5. Close the endgate.
